Note: This policy describes our common e-commerce practices reflected below.

This privacy statement covers any site owned, operated, or controlled by Treetime or any of its affiliates, including this Site, (“Treetime Sites”). Because Treetime wants to demonstrate its commitment to our users’ privacy, it discloses the information practices described below.

This policy applies to information collected when you visit the Site, create an account, place an order, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with us online. Links to third-party websites are governed by those third parties’ policies.

Information collection and use

Treetime is the sole owner of the information collected on Treetime Sites. Treetime collects information from our users at several different points on our Web site. A user may be required to complete a registration form in order to use our web sites. Users may choose to opt-in to our subscription listing to receive informational or promotional offers from Treetime and its affiliates via mail or e-mail.

During subscription, a user is required to give contact information (such as name, address, and email address). We use this information to contact the user about products or services on our site for which they have expressed interest.

In addition, we may collect:
  • Order and account details (name, billing/shipping address, email, phone, order history, customer service notes).
  • Payment-related details (processed by our payment providers; we generally do not store full card numbers).
  • Device and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, date/time stamps, clickstream data).
  • Communications (emails/messages you send us; preferences; unsubscribe status).
  • Optional inputs (reviews, survey/contest entries, gift messages, or other information you choose to provide).

Information use

We store information that we collect through cookies, log files, and/or site traffic software to create a profile of our users. A profile is stored information that we keep on individual users that details their viewing preferences. Consequently, collected information is not tied to the user’s personally identifiable information. The data is used to improve the content and layout of the site for all users. We do not share profile data with other third parties.

We also use information to:
  • Process orders, payments, shipping, returns, and customer support.
  • Communicate about your account, orders, and service updates.
  • Send newsletters and promotional offers (where permitted), and measure campaign performance.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies.

With whom we may share information

We may share personal information with service providers and partners who help us operate the Site and provide services (for example: e-commerce platform providers, payment processors, shipping carriers, email delivery vendors, analytics providers, and customer support tools). These providers are permitted to use personal information only to perform services for us (subject to contract and applicable law).

We may also disclose information (a) to comply with law or respond to lawful requests, (b) to protect rights, safety, and security, (c) in connection with a business transaction (such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale), or (d) with your consent or at your direction.

Surveys & contests (if offered)

From time-to-time our site may request information from users via surveys or contests. Participation is completely voluntary. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address) and demographic information (such as zip code). Contact information may be shared with contest or survey sponsors to notify winners and award prizes. We will provide notice and choices when required.

Cookies, log files, and similar technologies

Everyone loves cookies, yum (you’re still reading?!) A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We sometimes use session ID cookies. For a session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.

Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

We may use analytics and site traffic tools that rely on log files and cookies to understand how the Site is used.

Web beacons / pixels

We or our advertising/marketing providers may use technologies such as pixels (also known as web beacons) to help us manage content, measure the effectiveness of emails and marketing campaigns, and understand aggregate Site usage. These tools generally do not provide us with your full payment details and are used to measure interactions in aggregate or to support features such as ad delivery and reporting.

Your cookie choices
  • You can control cookies through your browser settings (block, delete, or limit). Some Site features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
  • If we use a cookie preference banner or consent tool, you can use it (when available) to manage non-essential cookies.
Do Not Track: Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no consistent industry standard, we may not respond to those signals.

Communication, marketing, and opt-out

We occasionally send information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications.

How to opt out
  • Email marketing: Use the “unsubscribe” link in our promotional emails.
  • Account-related messages: Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets) are not marketing and may still be sent.
  • Help from us: Email info@treetime.com with “Opt-Out” in the subject line.
“Email this page to a friend” (if available)

If you use a referral feature to email a friend about our site, we may ask for your friend’s name and email address to send a one-time message. We use this information solely to send that message. Your friend may contact us at info@treetime.com to request removal of this information from our records.

Security

This Web site takes precautions to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the Web site, their information is protected both online and off-line. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also take steps to protect user information off-line. Access to personally identifiable information is limited to employees who need it to perform a specific job. The servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment.

If users have any questions about security at our Web site, users can send an email to info@treetime.com.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to process orders, provide customer support, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Back to top ↑

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or portability of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing (such as targeted advertising where applicable). You may also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

How to submit a request
  • Email info@treetime.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.
  • Include your name, the email used on the Site, and the request you are making.
  • We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
California and other U.S. state privacy notices
If you are a resident of certain U.S. states (including California), you may have additional rights (such as the right to know categories of personal information collected, categories disclosed for business purposes, and to opt out of certain disclosures that may be considered “targeted advertising” or a “sale” under some laws). We will respond to verifiable requests as required by applicable law.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.

Notifications of changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example, by posting a prominent notice on our Web site or, where appropriate, by email).
