The Huras Family has been producing beautiful glass ornaments for the past two decades. The seed that grew into a successful family business was first planted in a small city in Poland where John Huras, the company's creative director and manager, was studying music. During the Christmas holidays, John and his friends from the music conservatory were performing at a children's orphanage near the school. John was disappointed when he saw the lack of decorations on the Christmas tree in the children's home. After the concert, he decided he wanted to fix the situation and, knowing his hometown was full of glass blowers, he had the idea of making a one-of-kind gift for the kids. He called his friends to ask their help in finding craftsmen who could turn his sketches into delicate glass shapes. Then he had to find experienced artisans who could paint the ornaments. He realized that they had to choose the right bright colors and details that kids would love. He had no idea how complicated the process would be! In the end, the result was a big success with the kids and it was this impulsive holiday decision that blossomed into one of the best producers of glass ornaments in the world! John's family decided to help him turn his new-found passion into a business. He became the creative director and worked together with his family to acquire more knowledge and find the artisans needed to make these wonderful holiday treasures. Soon they opened their own factory in their hometown in the south of Poland, where the tradition of glass-blowing was well known. Over the years, the Huras family's ornaments began to attract international attention. Soon they were producing ornaments for famous name-brands and department stores throughout Europe and America. Now, the family wants to share their passion for this wonderful Christmas tradition directly with the people here in the United States, where John had gotten some of his first inspirations for ideas. The family still produces each hand-made glass ornament with the same desire John had years ago: to add a touch of holiday magic in your life and inspire happy memories which you can cherish and share for years to come!
