1) Broken, defective or missing bulbs in a lighting strand cause normal strands to fail as a complete strand. 2) Traditional incandescent bulbs have a short life span and burn out at a significant rate.
Each socket in a ProTime™ light set has a tiny thermistor microchip that acts as a ‘silent sentry’ to keep the light string operating. When all bulbs in the string are operating properly, the chip does nothing. However, as soon as something happens to a bulb – whether it gets broken; becomes loose in the socket; falls from the socket; burns out or whatever – the chip takes over and acts as if it were a bulb to keep the rest of the string operating properly. It even acts as a kind of “surge protector” to protect the bulbs from power surges caused by other bulbs in the string burning out.

I was looking for a natural looking tree that would hold my Hallmark ornaments because some of them are on the heavy side. There is no problem because the branches are very strong and are trimmed so they look natural.. I took a long time talking to Joanne and she was very patient and helpful with all my questions. The lights are gorgeous and I love that there are white ones mixed in with the colored lights. It takes some time fluffing but it doesn't have to be perfect it wouldn't be in the woods. I got the 6 1/2 ' Ashton Spruce It fits perfectly in my small family room but its full but not to full for my area. I absolutely love my tree its just what I wanted and I looked for a long time. <br>I'm a very happy customer. Thank you Treetime!

I love how this tree looks perfectly trimmed! Each branch has a nice clean-cut look, I think it's very realistic. Everyone that stopped by loved the tree and asked where we got it from. The clear lights are amazing! So pretty! Shaping did take some time, but well worth the effort.
We love our 3' (table top) Ashton Spruce! It's fullness and upturned style makes it look lush and festive and we LOVE the colored lights. Tree does require some fluffing and shaping but we had fun with this. It's not even Halloween and we're leaving it up! Definitely love the multi lights and great customer service

For the discounted price of $225 this tree is OK. After spreading the needles/branches for the better part of an hour, the top is nicely full as is the rest of the tree. Lighting looks wonderful. <br> <br>This tree is much easier to set up and take down than my previous trees. All the pieces do fit nicely into the seemingly well made carry bag.
I'm going to amend my earlier review. I have the tree up right now in our living room and am looking at it as I am typing. It's absolutely beautiful. Maybe I didn't shape it just right, but after 3 1/2 hours I also got a tree with colored lights this year. The lights on the Ashton are gorgeous with the most beautiful lights. There are even some clear bulbs scattered throughout the colored. I love the tree, but the shaping of it was long the first year.

It's absolutely beautiful but doesn't look at all like the tree pictured on your website. Maybe I didn't shape it just right, but after 3 1/2 hours (you heard right -- 3 1/2 hours!). I just couldn't take it anymore. I also got a tree with colored lights this year. The lights on the Ashton are gorgeous with the most beautiful lights. There are even some clear bulbs scattered throughout the colored. I love the tree, but the shaping of it was ridiculous!
I ordered the Ashton Spruce on Sunday and got it today! I set it up right away to make sure all the lights work and they do! Beautiful lights. I love all the colors and especially like how there are clear lights mixed in with the colors. The only problem is this was almost impossible for me to do alone. It is very heavy. I took it down but it wouldn't fit in the shippers bag so I went ahead and put it in the free storage bag that came with it. I pushed it into the den and there it's staying until I put it up a month from now. No way are we hauling it downstairs and then back up again! My husband is out of town but he will help me set it up so it is easier. I haven't spent the time to shape it yet but I like the needle style and am sure it will be gorgeous as soon it's fluffed and decorated. I am a happy customer.
nicely done tree, it has the "clean cut" appearance, sturdy & tapered branches really give this tree a perfect look. Let me say, this 10 ft tree with colored lights looks so pretty, and it fits together so easily. Very friendly & helpful service reps, quick shipping - awesome experience.
Nice tapered branches with good support for decorations. I like that it's ALL PVC (not a fan of PE). Nice traditional shape. Setup was easy, spent maybe 45 minutes to get tree up and shaped (7.5 size). I like it..wife likes it, so we're happy.
I love how the ends of the branches have the tapered look, and they're also very strong. I got the 4.5 size for my table and it looks & fits perfect. Nice quality branches and the lights have a nice warm glow. Thanks to the customer service lady who helped me with my choice.
