Can't figure out the timer

Very pretty wreath but I can't figure out if it's working right. I thought it was supposed to stay on about 6 hrs. go off and come back on in about 6 and so forth. When I turn it on it stays lit for about 6 hrs then goes off but does not light again until I manually turn it back on again.
