All of Treetime's LED artificial Christmas trees generate zero heat and last over 10 times longer than standard lighting on average. L.E.D. is a lighting technology that has come a long way when it comes to the prelit Christmas trees industry. The biggest problem with early iterations were that LED lights simply didn't look like traditional mini lights. Many people prefer the soft, warm, and inviting look of an incandescent bulb. This is why Treetime LED lighting uses a glass mini light bulb with an LED inside. These LED mini lights burn at around 3000K (kelvin) which means the color temperature for clear lights is exactly like a regular mini light. You will save up-to 95% energy usage compared to traditional lighting but enjoy the same look of a classic Italian bulb. Light density will be slightly lower on average compared to a tree with traditional mini lights. The reason is that LEDs are more expensive and slightly brighter. Too many LED lights on your Christmas tree and it might drown out the look of the tree itself. We only use as many as necessary to properly light the Christmas tree without it becoming a distraction.
